I can't reproduce this with Audacity 1.2.6 and OSX 10.5.8 on a PPC machine.
Could you please verify which version of Audacity you are using, and tell us which Mac and OS you are using?

Re: Saving Projects nows means beachball of death for me
This process is also missing the safety confirmation of having the system ask you "English?" when you get everything exactly right. Actually, editing audacity.cfg to the single line "NewPrefsInitialized=1" will get you the language dialog. I just did it about 20 times tonight testing a bug that a) ...

Re: Placing index markers when burning CD
You can include additional data on CDs and still maintain standard audio CD compatibility, but not by inserting the audio in "negative time" or between index markers (I've never heard of either of those things). The Who Live at Leeds remastered edition (single CD, can't speak for the double CD). Al...

Horses for courses. I like regions labels. You like point labels. They all work.Moka17 wrote: ok but point labels were so easy to use and worked perfectly before ?

Yep, that's the way to do it.scar wrote:please, re-draw the RIAA curve?
isn't it sufficient to just copy the RIAA curve info from EQpresets.xml and change the sign on the d values? i.e.:

Re: "Error opening file" problem not solved
The first step is to reset the preferences.
Go to <your home>/Library/Application Support/audacity.
In there you will find a file named "audacity.cfg". Open that file with TextEdit. Remove all content except the line "NewPrefsInitialized=1" and save the file.
Now try opening those files.

<<<Actually, region labels work quite well, too.>>> New as of version...? I'm pretty sure I've been using region labels (as opposed to point labels) to mark songs since at least 1.3.7, possibly earlier. Re: A Mic That Wont Record
I have an EV RE50B (dynamic) mic connected to my iMac through a USB port with Audacity set at Line In, and Audacity wont pick up a sound. Do I need an amp, pre-amp, condenser mike ? Am I on the right setting? The first thing we need to know is what kind of microphone-to-USB adapter you are using. B...

Re: Moving the selected area
Hello, Like if you have selected 16 beats and then you want to move the selection to select next 16 beats without having deal with making the selection window the right size again. It then would be easy to add a label. Also, I couldn't find a way to copy a label track region and paste it after the ...
