Re: High Pass Filter....Oops
<<<blue curve more closing by setting "Length of filter" to the maximum >>> What's the metaphor they're trying for? The number of Ls and Cs in the filter; the physical length of the filter laid out on the breakfast table and therefore the Q or pole number? Or did I miss something? Does it always as...

Re: Is it possible to add a marker on the fly?
Tracks > Add Label at Playback Position works for me on Mac, Audacity 1.3.9, during playback and recording. You can't use apple+M because that's a system-wide shortcut to minimize the front window. You can change that shortcut in Preferences > Keyboard tab. Don't know what might be up with 1.3.7. ;)...

Re: High Pass Filter....Oops
The Nyqusit bug (the filter thing) is fixed in 1.3.10. "The green curve is the one that Audacity actually uses to perform the effect, taking into account the limitations of the equalization algorithm." You can get the green curve to follow the blue curve more closing by setting "Length of filter" to...

Re: 'Show Clipping' not showing anymore
Do you get the red clip lights in the recording meters? Maybe you're not getting clipping.
Works for me with 1.3.9 and 1.3.10, G5, OS X 10.5.8.

<<<I download the nightly build and try it out every day.>>> I have a slightly different application. I have to explain to some powerful Hollywood production types why it failed. Now which one would you use? I'd use the one I find is the most stable for me in my application, of course. I wasn't sug...

Re: High Pass Filter....Oops
What are the current problems in 1.3.10? Which build are you using? http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Release_Checklist#P2_.28Stable_Release_Blockers.29 The first P2 on that list has apparently been fixed, and I'll be trying it out tonight. [Note to people reading this after Nov 16 - the...

Re: High Pass Filter....Oops
This was an issue with Nyquist, and an interaction between what you typed into the box and the minimum resolution of the slider. Steve was involved in tracking this down and fixing it, I believe. It is now fixed in 1.3.10. AFAIK if you type "10" in the box and then click OK, it does what you'd expec...

Re: Bass fade out/in as on live mixing.
Ive tried so many ways and cant find a way to true mixing. For example, I mixing 2 tracks, and need to slowly fade out the bass sound of one, and slowly fade in the bass of the second track. Like I do on a live mix. Does anyone know how to do it? You can't do it "live", but you could use the Envelo...

Re: Voice Recording yields small soundwave -- help?
I may need to just go download audacity again and see if that helps. That probably won't help. Your mic probably uses a USB driver, not a MIDI driver. Go to System Prefences > Sound panel. Click on the input tab then select your Alesis mic from the list. You should have a volume control and a level...
