1) Also you can press SHIFT + A to stop playback and leave the cursor at the stopped position.

3) Use [ and ] to set the selection while playing. Then after you stop press CTRL + B to put a label over that selection.

I think that's a bug. None of the other built-in effects behave that way. I have confirmed that it occurs on 1.3.10-Nov20 on Mac. So upgrading to 1.3.10 won't help. That page also has recommendations on other reverbs. Personally I like the Anwida Soft DX Reverb Light.

This is known to happen when the project contains a track that contains nothing but silence. If this is the case, delete the track that contains nothing but silence and try again.

Soundflower will do the trick. The instructions are a bit sparse but it can be made to work.

Both Gverb and Freeverb are difficult to get a good sound out of. Perhaps that is why they are no longer included with 1.3.9. I did a search for a decent Mac-compatible free reverb plug-in a few months ago and came up with two. But if the OP is on Windows there may be more choices, and if on Linux f...

Yes, but you'll need to find and install a 3rd party reverb plug-in. What you use will depend on what operating system you have.
