Re: Error opening project. Not well formed invalid token at l

See those accented characters? Audacity chokes on them. Carefully edit them to unaccented versions and you should be good to go.

Re: Cannot burn WAV music files to CD

32-bit versus 16-bit is the sample format. What is the sample rate of your project? CD burners usually expect files with a sample rate of 44100.

What OS are you on (XP, Vista, 7)? It could be that you need to upgrade to 1.3.9.

Re: splitting recordings into separate tracks

After the "Export Multiple" step in those instructions you should have 4 separate WAV files named according to the labels you made. If you have only one WAV file you've missed a step.

Re: can't record from USB headset after installing audiohigh

Audio Hijack installs Soundflower for you. It's not a wrapper for Soundflower - it does way more stuff. I have Soundflower and Audio Hijack Pro (AHP) installed and have had no problem connecting and using my USB mic. In Preferences > Devices > Recording I can see: Built-in Audio; USB mic; SoundFlowe...

I've posted your report and crash log to the developers' list. Hopefully someone there will be able to decipher what is going on.

Re: OS X 10.4.11 crash

I'm successfully running Audacity 1.3.9b on my G4 laptop, but when I install it on my dual G5 (OS X 10.4.11) it hangs every time. I have removed all plugins from the library, user library, and Audacity folders. Preferences, old and new, have been trashed. Audacity gets to the first run "select lang...

Re: Entering "k" in labels scrolls WAV panel

As this bug is "not reproducible to order" it's been hard to track down. Would it help to have a particular file with which this occurs and the steps to reproduce it? I have steps where I can cause this to happen every time in v1.3.9 regardless of the WAV I import: Open Audacity Drag in a WAV Wait ...

Re: Delay when Overdubbing

There are two kinds of delay when working with Audacity. One is called latency and has to do with the time you hit a note to the time Audacity lays it down on the track. Audacity can correct for this if you tell it how much correction to make. http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Latency_T...

Re: Entering "k" in labels scrolls WAV panel

As this bug is "not reproducible to order" it's been hard to track down. As a work-around, go to Preferences > Keyboard and either set different shortcuts for the commands that use the J and K keys without a CTRL or ALT modifier (there are four of them under the "Edit" category - SHIFT+J, SHIFT+K, J...
