Re: Crash when manipulating MP3
Thanks. I can cause the crash reliably. I'll be putting in a bug report for this. The cause is almost definitely due to having tracks with different sample rates. Workaround: after bringing in your MP3 track (at 44100), select the track then do Tracks > Resample and choose 32000 in the dialog. Now a...

Re: Crash when manipulating MP3
For the project that crashes reliably, could you describe each track - mono/stereo, WAV/MP3, and sample rate. I can't reproduce the crash with a mono 44100 WAV and a stereo 48000 MP3 arranged as you describe.

Re: audacity 2.4.2 slow under 10.15.6
If it is, as Steve said, just the lagging cursor and not slowed-down sound, the issue is likely a 30-bit display on your new Macbook. With Audacity not running, right-click on the Audacity icon and select Get Info. In the Get Info dialog, check "Open in Low Resolution". Start Audacity and see if tha...

Re: hissing on recording
Your client must be listening on headphones, really loud. To use the Noise Reduction effect you need to first select a sample of the track that is just the noise you want to remove. I selected starting at 1.775 seconds with a length of 0.383 seconds (just after the word "listener" and before the cli...

Re: connecting to my desktop
New desktop Macs do not have a line input. The jack you have connected to is the headphone jack.

Re: One channel doesn't record
Are you getting a stereo track recorded with one channel silent? Or are you getting a mono track?

Re: Using Apogee One but Audacity doesn't seem to want to record...
I made sure that the Apogee Maestro app was disabled By disabled, do you mean "not running"? Devices should be connected and turned on before launching Audacity. Or, in Audacity, you can do Transport > Rescan Audio Devices . So it seems the Meatro app is somehow hihacking the audio from the ONE and...

Re: issues recording traktor 10 soundcard usb
If recording in Audacity via the internal mic is working then either there is an issue with USB audio or there is an issue with Audacity connecting to the Traktor. Do you have any other USB audio interfaces you can try out? I am not familiar with the Traktor 10, so I can't give any specific advice t...
