This behaviour (effect GUI appears on Command+R) appears to happen with all effects with RC05 on my iMac with macOS Catalina . This is with a virgin CFG. Command+R works properly (does not show GUI) with RC05 on my Macbook Air M1 with Big Sur! Command+R works properly on my iMac Catalina with 2.4.2....

Does this happen if you select the Mac's built-in microphone and built-in speakers/headphone jack?

Go to Apple (menu) > System Preferences > Sound > Input. Is the Scarlet listed there? If you select it and input some audio to the Scarlet, does the input level meter bounce?

No, I don't know of any way to remove the echo/reverb in your recording.

Just listened to the audio you are trying to fix. The problem is room echo. That cannot be fixed using the Noise Reduction effect.

Can you move the sliders for the three noise reduction parameters, or type values into the boxes?
