Re: Dynamic Rumble Filter
If you honestly believe you need 8pole, i.e. 48dB/oct, you can adjust "release" much more than decay. Good luck.

Re: Dynamic Rumble Filter
Sorry guys, although I'm not concern with this issue... From mastering points of view, rarely use too steep filters for music. With gate is not all the more. It'll alter the tone in the rest of sound. Original filter of the amp must have analog 1 or 2 pole's one and be used as the "insertion" to kee...

Re: Effect on 1.3.8 changes track length???
It's very kind of you. That book is the ROCK! Thanks. (That API didn't run on my system in the long run. This post is surely a help.) I'll read it through. but before that, Can I assume Audacity's FFT implement is correctly based upon this book. As far as a glance there seems no detailed reference t...

Re: Create master for vinyl
I've recorded in vinyl too. Basically there's no special things you must do ahead, if just ordinary clean-up and mastering been done with those tracks. Certainly theres peculiar process for vinyl which is called "pre-emphasis". But I think that is the deal of production side. If you interested and w...

Re: Help with sound effect for World Of Warcraft addon
Just a direction. Reverb and stereo short delay are indispensable, although you may aware that. Other than that it depends on raw material but I think I would use pitch changer or EQ for voice's bass thickness, and use exiter or EQ for voice's floatingness or EQ for total air i.e. ambience. Still, f...

Re: Effect on 1.3.8 changes track length???
Isn't that expected? A WAV does not understand clips in a track, so the space between the clips must be silence. You can export only one clip by double-clicking to select it then File > Export Selection As. I see. Thanks for detailed explanation. Probably I should wait next version to handle parall...

Re: Effect on 1.3.8 changes track length???
Quite a few problems would be solved if Audacity treated white space and silence as the same thing for its own functional purposes, but we agree that clips should be preserved. Another workaround apart from processing clips separately is to Edit > Detach at Silences after processing all the clips t...

I'm not sure with "Spectrum Analyzer".
it's really shame. (am i only one who feel it painful?) but thanks replying anyway. now here is another problem. isn't something wrong with spectrum? the magnitude of the overall level on the exact same track widely varies with "window size". I don't mean that the size of "display window" or its flo...
