So Steve, or anyone else, do you have any suggestions to help us fix this problem and get back to listening and recording music with Audacity?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Clipping/ Distortion
I have a Behringer uca202 pre amp. I just went the the manufacturer website and got the link there and followed the instructions. Then in Audacity I had to change the "line in" or input device to "behringer USB". That was it.

Re: Clipping/ Distortion
This is not a DJ 12" mix but I am recording straight from a 12" record.
I did take the pre amp out of the equation and connect the TT straight to the computer by usb and had the same problem. I don't think I recorded or uploaded it for you though.

Re: Clipping/ Distortion
I did state this in one of my earliest posts on this topic.
The pre amp is a Behringer UCA 202
The turntable is set for line output currently but i have switched it back and forth as I have been trouble shooting this.
The pre amp does not have any input options as you asked.

Re: Clipping/ Distortion
yes my turntable was connected to my computer the same way. I had it connected via rca outs to a pre amp then from pre amp to my computer via usb. I have also tried connecting my turntable straight to my computer via usb and not using the pre amp and I have the same problem. How frustrating this is!...
