Re: Saving Changed Audio Speed To File, Is This Possible?

Once you have the Audacity project playing back just as you want it, Stop the playback and do File > Export, choosing whichever file format you want - WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM is a pretty safe bet for your first attempt. I tried that earlier and again after reading your reply but the file ...

Saving Changed Audio Speed To File, Is This Possible?

Is there a way to save audio once you have slowed it down using Audacity 2.0.0 on Windows 98? rather than once you have slowed it to whichever speed you want then have to play it and record it manually by another recorder as it plays which would take much longer. My version of Audacity 2.0.0 was ins...

Re: 32 bit float

Thanks.
I dont use it for real time recording, mostly I use it for converting mp3 and Wave files etc.
Also use it for labelling and editing.

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

I am positive that I installed v3 of lame for the v13 of Audacity, like I say I perhaps could have installed the previous version of Lame but I thought at the time that it would not have been advantageous as the new Lame was there for a reason, so that's why I didn't try that lower version of Lame I...

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

it may just be down to the encoder not liking my particular system. But that's what's weird about it. Audacity does not encode MP3s. MP3 encoding is done by Lame, and nowhere did you mention changing your version of Lame. That's right, never changed the lame, but it could be that particular version...

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

Something that may help, I remember a message appeared asking if I wanted to associate the program with UPI or something, and I clicked on no as I didn't know what it was referring to, so maybe that was one of the reasons for the slow exporting issue, although it may just be down to the encoder not ...

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

Yeah thanks, version back to what it was like prior to installing v13. When I had v13 it would take double the time to export say a 3 minute mp3, so instead of 40 seconds it would be 80, but more importantly was the 2 crashes, that was the final nail in the coffin for me and therefore removed it and...

Re: Any Need To Install Latest Version

As far as I was concerned as I already used the previous 2 versions without problems I saw no reason to not install it, I am happy with v 12.
