Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Good tips to know. Thanks guys. BTW, since this is a community where most likely everyone is recording something using a microphone and a computer, is there an appropriate place here or other resources where I can get some reviews/suggestions/feedback on buying a microphone and hooking it up to my c...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Yeah, I am working with 18 tracks on the project with that is currently having issues, and the other project that was having the same issue had like 14. I don't like mixing tracks together, even if they are five different 10 second guitar fills. Then it becomes more difficult to control the individu...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Sorry for the confusion koz, I was a little tired. The error message now says patience 18. I had just recopied that error message from my earlier post when I was at version 13. My Directory is listed as "C:UsersTomAppDataLocalTempaudacity_1_2_temp". Can you explain more on the dangers of emptying ou...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
It's back. :x This is really starting to tick me off. For days, no problem. So I get cocky and make more than one change without saving. Luckily now I'm done recording and just editing. I'm just trimming tracks, doctoring clips, and adding effects. So it's almost easier to redo what I've done than t...

Re: Delay effect moves my whole track back to zero...
Heh...um...so I go apply delay to the track to get the screen shot...guess what...works fine now. I spent an hour goofin with it the other night (looking for settings I may have changed). I am on my way out the door so I don't have time to really test it, but it may have solved itself. Thanks for th...

Re: Delay effect moves my whole track back to zero...
No, snap to is not on and it's me signing (use the term loosely). Like I said, just to experiment, I applied 5 or 6 other effects to the same track with no problem. It's only when I use delay. I end up manually selecting the track, starting a tenth of a second in to the end, and then having to "merg...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Yeah, thats what I figured out too. The probelm is I had about ten tracks, 8 of which did not start at zero. When I copied and pasted them in the newly opened session of Audacity, the short tracks all started at zero and I had to go realign them all with the long tracks. A pain in the butt.

Delay effect moves my whole track back to zero...
This is weird. I've done this before with no problems. I have a vocal track that does'nt start at zero, it starts/comes in about 45 seconds into the song. I've applied other effects to this track (eq) with no issues. But when I apply delay to give a slight reverb effect, it moves my whole track back...

Re: Get error message when I use save as...
Yeah I'm writing it as: patience11. No spaces, slashes, etc. Update: that was Audacity telling me it was builing up to a crash. I tried a few more things and she locked up. After I recovered my files I was able to save as patience 11. I got 100's of gigs of free space, 6 gigs of ram, and a 2.6 proce...

Get error message when I use save as...
I get the message "Could not save project. Perhaps D:Audacitypatience11is not writeable or the disk is full." I ran into this before and had to copy all the tracks over to another open version of 1.3.8. That was a pain cuz all the tracks didn't start at 0.0 and I had to get them to line up again. Fa...
