Re: Overdubbing
Then I do 'Add new track (mono or stereo)' and start recording by pressing the red RECORD button. Recording is done but I cannot hear my playing nor the first playing ! Try SHIFT-RECORD. :D If that doesn't work, check the manual here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_multi_track_overdub...

Re: Difficulty with Audacity
I've been using Audacity for a quite a while and love it. While these forums are great I usually find I can solve a problem by using google search. I have come here as a last resort and gleaned some great info. I would urge others here to take a good look around before submitting questions here. Al...

Re: Hidden Track
This evening when I opened my file, I could only see the music track. I opened all previous versions of the file, and on all of them I can only see the music track. Can anyone please advise how I can view the voice track again? I do not believe you are going to find any "hidden" tracks. :( So the q...

Re: Lizard Trilling Sound Effect
So I'm thinking you might be able to do this with Steve's amplitude modulator. See this post:Flashlight237 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 6:26 pmSo, I was trying to get a lizard trilling sound for a monster cry I've made with my own voice

Re: Audio Capture from Web Browser (Chrome)
Default settings produce a weird "ultra bass" with decreased voice. I did not find any tutorial to help me out. Look here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer.html I did find the proper settings to capture from the internal sound card so I am getting...

Re: Is there a way to make songs where the notes are inverted/in a certain key like on youtube videos?
I don't know how to use it, I can turn everything off and it sounds the same Yes, there are certainly a lot of possible configurations! :D I had toyed with this tool a little while ago and was moderately successful at "auto-tuning" up some flat notes on a sample track with only one voice. :D For yo...

Oh, I can make that worse. Research and find an effect, download it, launch Audacity > Tools > Nyquist Plug-In Installer. Now launch the job and use the plug-in, right? .. Right? .. No?
