Re: Converting mp3 or mp4 to MIDI
One thing: it's not multiple instruments, voices, etc. It's only piano. Will that make a difference? Does the performance ever hit two or more notes at once? That's the end of the world. :?: Can you do some research on the internet and let us know what you find out. We would love to be proven wrong...

Re: Audio Cassette Sounds Weird
and when people had the same problem, they said to buy powerful batteries instead, but I use Ikea rechargeable batteries, so maybe their not powerful enough. :D Yes, I think you are right! :D When I remove an alkaline battery from a failing device, I generally test the battery to verify that is the...

Re: Hidden Track
Then I opened the .aup file again, and I still have two tracks. Yes, that is correct. :D Your SAVEd .aup file is going to retain all of the tracks unless you delete them. The EXPORTed .mp3 or .wav file is going to have all of the tracks combined. Changing the subject, you could change the balance o...

Re: Hidden Track
Is there any way I can recover the two distinct tracks? The short answer is no. :( The long answer is probably not. :( Audacity has an effect "Vocal Reduction and Isolation" that might help you. Your chances are better if the original music track was stereo and the vocal was in mono. If you have th...

Re: Mixing music while still keeping them separated & increasing quality
Is there a trick to make this* possible? Yes, there are number of "tricks". Experience is perhaps the best one. :D If you have two pieces of music, but they are in different keys, you can adjust the key of one of them so they match. Sometimes, the very last note of the song is the key. Use Effect >...

Re: Converting mp3 or mp4 to MIDI
I am using macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 on a MacBook Pro. I have Audacity 2.4.2. I need to convert mp3 and mp4 files to MIDI in order to play them on a Samick SG-450 Digital Ensemble Grand. A little help? What koz said. Also, do a google search for an mp3 to midi converter on the web. There are a few. I ha...

Re: Left Right Speaker slider in the Track Control Panel always on Left?
my right internal speaker is damaged. On every record I must manually move the slider to (L) Left. I want it automatically on the (L) Left. You could create a macro: Tools > Macros...; New > MyLeftPanner; Insert > Pan Left > OK; OK; To Run: Tools > Apply Macro > MyLeftPanner. But this may take more...

Re: empty track(s) added when dividing tracks
So what is happening is when you duplicate the first 20 seconds, both tracks become selected. Then, when you change the starting time you create a new selection, but this time in both tracks. When you do a subsequent duplicate, you are now creating two tracks, thus 2 becomes 4, 4 becomes 8, etc. But...

Re: Speaker output not an option with ASIO
I was able to compile Audacity with ASIO. I am able to connect to my Midas X32 board via USB. However, the playback is also set to ASIO (going back to my mixer) and there are no other options. OK, so what is happening is that while Audacity may be able to record multiple input channels simultaneous...
