I recently purchased an mp3 file on Amazon.com hoping to import it into audacity and play it. The import was successful but I get no sound when I play it. Any ideas?
What happens when you start with an empty Audacity project, Generate DTMF Tones, then try to play it?

Re: Comparing and shifting audio records from different microphones

Hello, I'm recording an audio source with different microphones and recorders. Later I have to cut and synchronize all tracks. Actually, I do it manual — I change to spectrogram view and looking for similar peaks/waveforms in spectrum and cut some milliseconds/seconds from recordings. Maybe there a...

Re: Repeat last action

Not just a Feature Request - one of the developers (who goes by the pseudonym of Jademan on this Forum) picked this up and implemented it - so it should be in the upcoming 3.0.0 release of Audacity. Thanks Peter. :D Could you add my vote to this feature of "Repeat last action" ? Well, act...

Re: Creating a sound

Hello! I am working on a project for my physics class I am in, and I am trying to recreate the Wilhelm scream sound effect. On a physics level I understand how to create a Fourier series that represents this sound, but I do not know how I would apply this in Audacity to create the sound. I am using...

Re: Mono on Stereo fix

it will not allow it to export to MP3. It says something about an error at E? I probably should mention when I opened the file it had an error, something about blank files and filling them with silence. So that would be your E: drive.
