Thanks, but still every effect I add is added to both tracks.

To apply an effect to a specific track, click on "Select" at the bottom of that track's Track Control Panel before applying the effect.

I´m making a podcast, and somehow it seems that some of the sounds are missing. Words are cut, and the result is a lot of mis spoken words and short cuts. On 2.4.2, try Tracks > Reset Configuration.
