Re: Incluir pistas de sonido
Good Morning. I'm doing a radio podcast show and I'm new to Audacity. If I already have several soundtracks in the project (music, interview, etc.), how do I add a new track? What I am doing so far is going to add track at the end and go up "steps" until it is in the right place. Is there...

Re: Recording from PlayAcoustic via USB
Thanks for your input. The "Play Acoustic" *does* work with Audacity. The exact settings may depend on your current operating system and release of Audacity. Unfortunately, when I recorded guitar with the Play Acoustic output set to Stereo, the recording in Audacity was not stereo, i.e. bo...

Re: Quel traitement pour nettoyer une cassette
Hello everyone, Could you tell me what (s) will be the best processing / adjustments to perform for an .mp3 file created from an audio cassette? To be more precise, the initial recording, on cassette, is a listening exercise. It is necessary to discriminate close sounds. But with the wear of the ca...

Re: Am I doing something wrong?
Running 2.4.2 on Windows 10. Interface is a Xenyx Q802USB 8 channel mixer, connect to the computer via usb. I have found if I lay one track down, then add a track, record the second track, it picks up the previous track playing and starts to record that on the new track. Of course, I can't mute the...

So your recent comments haven't inspired any new thinking..
You have read steve's links...?
On the bright side, the upcoming release of Audacity 3.0.0 addresses this and similar issues.

Re: How can I erase audio files used in an AUP file?
I imported a very large audio file from a portable recording device into Audacity to edit it. When I was done with it I erased the file from my portable device I had a similar problem a number of years ago. As I had not reused the device, I was able to undelete the file from the portable device's m...

Re: Debug report
There is no directory 'C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Local\Audacity\SessionData\project28123.' Should I create it? And yes am logged in as Brian You may not be able to view the AppData directory because Windows hides it. To make AppData visible, in File Explorer, click on the View tab, then check the box ...

Re: change decimal separator in audacity
Thank you, but the problem is that the only place where audacity doesn't recognize commas as decimal separators is in effects. The numbers by the tracks are correct, everything, just the effects have conflicting decimal separators. I don't know why unfortunately Also, see this thread: https://super...

Re: Can't apply any effect, Value not in range
I don't have Windows 7 (it is now obsolete ), but I think the problem is that you have conflicting settings regarding what the decimal separator is. You need to go through the Windows settings and ensure that the decimal separator is either set as a comma in all places, or a dot in all places. Chec...
