Re: Не работают Calf Plugins в Audacity
Operating system, Linux Ubuntu Studio 20. LTS. The problem started immediately, in Audacity 2.4.2 Calf plugins work crookedly. Their interface is not what it should be. Some don't work at all. Although all plugins work fine in the same Ardor. With the right interface. What could be the problem? Not...

Re: How to make Audacity record in loop
How many times will you be recording over the loop ? You can always just duplicate the audio manually in Audacity. This is fairly easy to do: For example, if your entire track consists of the audio you wish to loop: 1) Use Ctrl-A to select All audio (here, were planning to loop all audio). 2) Click ...

Re: Carbonite back-up and Audacity projects and files
Thanks to DVDdoug for the response and the good information. That helps, but aren't the WAV files essentially only stereo mixes of the original multi-track recordings? If so, then the original multi-track recordings would be without back-up copies, wouldn't they? To be as safe as I know how, I have...

Re: Cannot record PC sounds using Audacity 2.4.2
Thanks Steve, but you didn't answer my question - which is about the audio of the Audacity I have on my WinPC. Never mind, I'll try asking the tutor at Griffith if he can suggest who I could contact. Eljustel, first make sure you have a legitimate version of Audacity 2.4.2. Now, when Audacity first...

Re: Cannot record PC sounds using Audacity 2.4.2
Hello all, I am having a new issue with the recording of sound on my Windows 10 PC. If I am playing a home filming item or trying to record a conference call, the audio from my PC will not record. It used to work perfectly when I last did this around 6 months ago, but I can only assume that a Windo...

Re: Big Sur, Audacity 2.4.2 does not recognise "Super USB Cassette"
I am open to using another device on my mac but not familiar with other inexpensive options. Do you know of one that might work? Thanks for any suggestions. Gary Gary, many people are using an inexpensive USB audio adapter such as the Behringer UCA202 or UCA222. I think either one would do the job....

Re: High-pitched noise when recording
... within the 2.4.2 program itself, the selections now do not include a USB. Any idea what might have happened and how I can get it back? Thanks! Note also, that Audacity creates these selections when it first starts. If you plugin in the device while Audacity is running, Audacity won't see it. Un...

Re: Humming on track for Podcast
The test is non-symmetrical. If the socket passes, you're probably OK. If it fails you should stop using that socket. It's dangerous. Call an electrician. To bring this around, change the room you're recording in. If the problem vanishes, you may have bad wall sockets. Koz Thanks for the tip, Koz. :D

Re: recording meter reading clipping at -6 not 0
WASAPI is fine but you shouldn't be using WASAPI-loopback in this situation. WASAPI is the newest protocol and MME is the oldest. I changed the host to WASPI and now the meter works fine and shows me when I am actually clipping. Is it fine to record my mono track (voice only) in WASPI? Yes, I belie...
