Re: Recording internet radio streams

Back in the day, I used to use "WinAmp" and "StreamRipper" - I would script it to change track (via CLAmp on WIndows) and return to hours of radio music split onto individual MP3 files lol I am not sure what would do it nowadays but you may be able to get hold of Winamp and the ...

Re: Recording the computer sound (e.g. a radio newscast) gives bad quality (very compressed?) audio

Here is an example using a clip of royalty-free music from Bensound.com. The first is from the direct download off the website, and the second is playing from the website while being recorded by Audacity using Windows WASAPI and Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (loopback). I've turned off a...

Re: Carbonite back-up and Audacity projects and files

And steve And DVDdoug. I do have one question though about the project's data file throughout this process of backing everything up: Does the project's data file actually become modified or changed in any way when I make changes or additions to the project? I would think that it would have to, but, ...

Re: recording with overdub on is suddenly not working anymore

Thank you, it does help. I do not understand how these settings were suddenly changed. I am not aware that I changed them. Is this a Windows problem? Thanks again for your help. :D You are welcome! It may be a Zoom problem, but see below: :D Windows 10 Home Version 2004 OS build 19041.804 (updated ...

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable

I spent this morning shutting this off and trying that and got no results. Still won't record in stereo. I'm going to try and contact Audio-Technica this afternoon and see if they can help. A couple of things to try: 1) FYI: the reason that Audacity is below all of the other lists is simply because...

IMMENSELY. I didn't even think about zooming into those .5 second areas. That definitely cleaned up the entire clip. The other speaker is a lot louder now, so I'll keep working at it.

Thank you so much
:D You are welcome. Thanks for the report back. :D

Re: Windows 10 desk mike takes over USB cable

So when Audacity first starts up, it scans all of the audio devices on your computer and populates the Device Selection Windows you are referring to. If you subsequently un-plug your turntable, then plug it back in, the device tables within Windows may change and Audacity may not have a clue. To fix...

If I understand FFmpeg is not installed, but in the page that opens by clicking on "download" I do not know which link I have to click.
Go here: Installing FFmpeg for Windows

Note: As DVDdoug says, you do NOT need LAME.

I hope this helps. :D
