sorry but why should the problem be of a hardware nature? Do you record in Audacity via your sound card and in OBS via your video card? If this is true, you are recording with two independent hardware clocks and that could account for the difference in the shows. I believe this is what steve sugges...

that you have corrected the problem and that it was, in fact, likely related to the Droid cam.

What I'm looking for is 1. Record the microphone-only on its own track, while monitoring the backing track and the microphone simultaneously. Personally, I do what Clarinettse does, below. I know what I sound like, and I can see the waves on the Audacity screen for confirmation, so I'm OK with this...
