Re: Audacity 2.4.2 - Mac OSX 10.13.6
I am having an associated problem. Boss Katana Amp to Audacity. Everything recognised, but input volume jumps to max even with everything turned right down. Audacity just records what is sent to it. The volume is generally set prior to the USB port. In this case, the volume will be set in your amp....

Re: Audacity 2.4.2 - Mac OSX 10.13.6
Hello - I am just getting started with Audacity. I'm trying to record audio out of my guitar amplifier. It has a USB out for just this type of thing. I've opened Audacity and checked that my Mac Book Pro (Laptop 2011) sees it. It does. However, I can't get audio through it to record in Audacity. If...

Re: Listening to recorded track whist recording another
what he said...
Plus, when when you record your new track, if it appends to the old track instead of recording underneath it, undo, then press Shift-Record to start a new track underneath.
I hope this helps.

Re: Problem Recording Stereo Mix following Windows Update
Maybe Windows or a driver utility is applying some "enhancements" and altering/degrading the sound? Still, you should record what you're hearing but if you play back the recording those alterations would be applied again. To turn off Windows "enhancements", you can do the following: 1) In the Windo...

Re: 3.0 does not record or playback sound in Catalina 10.15.7
There's probably a rogue plug-in in there that's causing the problem. Try putting them in say 10 at a time. If Audacity stops working then take those ten out and replace them one at a time. ... and if you zero in on the offending rascal, please report back so others know so they aren't chasing thei...

Re: Wasted Space in Default Toolbar Layout
Maybe I just need a bigger screen with more resolution. My Device toolbar takes up almost 2/3 of my screen.
Yours takes up about 1/3.

Re: 3.0 does not record or playback sound in Catalina 10.15.7
Hello, I have been using Audacity for many years, but... since I moved from an old MacBook Pro to a new one (2019 - 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9) running under Catalina 10.15.7, Audacity 3.0.0 or 2.x.x do not record or playback any sound. I have tried everything I read in the Forum but nothing work...

Re: Question about "repeat" option for 3.0
Thanks for the report davidhooper. This is now logged on the Audacity bug tracker. This has now been fixed for the upcoming 3.0.0 - I just QA tested the fix on both W10 and macOS 11.2.2 Big Sur and it works fine on both platforms. See: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2689 Many tha...

Re: Question about "repeat" option for 3.0
FWIW, in Windows 10, 3.0.0 RC05 behaves the same as 2.4.2: no repeated dialog with Ctrl+R.
