Re: Version 3.0.0 on Windows 10 settings and interference of usb Mic
My new issue is that when I now record a section to replace the original section, it sounds completely different to the original. It's either softer or louder. How do I change that. I've tried compression and noise gate...not helping. This is a question for the audiobook masters. They will be along...

Re: multitrack recording
If you are looking to convert a stereo track into two mono tracks once they are created, Use the Split Stereo to Mono option in the Audio Track Dropdown Menu to split the two channels of a stereo pair into two separately editable mono tracks.

Re: Error Opening Sound Device - Tried EVERYTHING - STILL NO CHANGE
The Helix is a good audio device with 8 canals 24 bits. I use it since two years with my Mac and it worked perfectly with Audacity before the bug (as it still does for the others software...). A I said in a post before, I also tried with another audiodevice (Uphoria UMC204HD) to understand my probl...

Re: Automatic envelope control point placement
Mostly lowering the volume between sentences The result is o.k. but it a rather tedious job So I wondering if there are tools that can do some sort of autoduck between sentences? Just roughly automatically place some control point would save me some time Perhaps an envelope follower could help you ...

Re: Installation problems
I have a Windows 7 PC on which Audacity works perfectly. I have now downloaded installed Audacity 3,0,0 on a new Windows 10 PC, I have copied all the files from the old pC to the new one with the data files plus all MP3, MP4A and AUP files saved into Music/Audacity exactly on the old PC. The progra...

Re: Audacity completely frozen, unusable
OK, here's what do do. 1) Re-boot your computer. If that doesn't fix it, then, 2) Delete C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\audacity\audacity.cfg. If that doesn't fix it, then 3) Rename C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\audacity I hope this helps. :D I assume you are using English. If you are u...

Re: Recordings seems fine when recording but when saved and rechecked later, recordings were self cut and duplicated??
I know its confusing but essentially, :? Here is where I got lost: So i was recording the video and voice for a whole hour and for throughout the whole recording, the audacity and camera is monitored the whole time so no problem really spotted. OK, so you are recording audio with Audacity. How are ...

Re: Trying to get Audacity to recognize my TC Helicon Harmony Singer
Yes I do (when I zoom). I was told by my gearhead buddy that when I record .. (while it will work with the pans at dead center), if I want to get more of a stereo or 2-channel mix (I forget what he said), I should pan channel 1 all the way to the left, and channel 2 all the way to the right. I thin...
