Re: Reduce Formant / Boost the fundamental tone of a signal
What does Audacity call the Formant Filter 1.0 effect? It's in my plugins folder, Audacity rescanned all my effects, but I can't read the .dll to find out the label.

Please add "Welcome to Audacity!" screen to Help menu
Please make the "Welcome to Audacity! / How to get help" screen available under the Help menu. If I click the "Don't show this again at start up" box, I never see this screen again, unless I'm lucky enough to find it under Edit|Preferences|Interface. I think having the Quick Help/Manual/Wiki/Forum l...

Freeware that runs guitar through an on-screen VST fx chain
I got GT Player Express with my M-Audio USB interface. GT Player Express has five VST effects I can use live as virtual stompboxes and configure onscreen. My Audacity library has dozens of VST effects. I get that some of these aren't meant to apply effects realtime, but some can. Is there other free...

Imported .WAVs are oversaturated and unusable.
V. 1.3.9, Imported .WAVs are oversaturated and unusable. I've tried multiple .WAVs, they all sound like I've pegged the meter way high. Other applications open these WAVs just fine. If I open the WAV file and save it in Audacity as a WAV file, then open THAT WAV file, everything works.

Re: Transform click track into kick drum sound
Unfortunately Risset Drum is under the Generate menu, so the Repeat function doesn't repeat Risset Drum Yes it does - but I understand the confusion - you are talking about "Repeat Last Effect", and I am talking about "Repeat..." (after "Phaser" and before "Reverse" in Audacity 1.2.6) If say you wa...

Re: Transform click track into kick drum sound
Select the entire track, copy the entire track, press the right arrow keyboard button to move the cursor to the end of the track and paste the sample. Repeat this several times, There is also an item in the effects menu called "Repeat" that allows you to repeat the selected audio many times in one ...
