Changing track emphasis
Hi,
I have recording (from a cassette tape) that I would like to bring up the voice on, and bring down the orchester. The vocal seems to more on the left track, and the orchestra on the right. Is there a way I can change this balance?
Thanks,
...... John

Re: saving mp3 information
Thanks Steve. Can you recommend a simple one. I'm only interested in making sure that media player displays the right info. Are there any that work 'inside' media player, so that when I see that the info is wrong, I can edit it on the fly?
Thanks,

Re: saving mp3 information
One more thing.
Is there a way of changing the information that shows up when I play my mp3 in media player? I saved a couple before I realized the information was wrong.

saving mp3 information
Hi, Sometime when I export a song to mp3 I am asked to fill in the song information, artist, album name, track #, etc, but sometimes Audacity makes an exectutive decision and fills in the information itself, usually, it seems, from the previous export. How can I stop Audacity from doing this OR chan...

Re: Is there such a thing as increaseing treble
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it didn't seem to have any effect, probably because I don't know what setttings to start with. Can you make a recommendation?
Thanks,
John

Re: imperfect copy of tape
Hi Koz, I downloaded the file your suggested, LRMono....., and played it, with both media player and Audacity. It sounded the same in both. Yes, left is left, and right is right. At the count of three your voice changed, I can't really describe how, it just sounded different, but still very clear. I...

Re: imperfect copy of tape
Hi Koz, The original is in Stereo. The guy with the megaphone comes out of the left speaker, but he disappears in the digital copy. The copy doesn't sound flat but the waveform shows absolutely no differnce between the left and right channels, and it does say stereo, so I'm assuming that Audacities ...
