Re: Balancing Stereo channels

Normalize didn't solve it, and I realized what exactly the problem is, if I didn't mention this already. When I adjust the Right volume slider no volume comes out of the right only out of the left, how can I split so I'm getting volume to come out of the right as in the left ?

Re: Balancing Stereo channels

You can also split the stereo tracks with the tools on the left and then apply any Audacity tool to one side or the other.
What do you mean ?

Re: Balancing Stereo channels

Pan, didn't do much. Although the Audio seems to be coming out of both channels alright, although if there was a way to have a bit more control otherwise the results will do.

Re: Recording Audio - Kiss the Mic Problem

You might be able to get rid of some of it with a high pass filter. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/100Hz_Rumble.jpg The English version of that is "turn the bass down." Set up your equlizer like this to drop everything below 100Hz -- where most wind rumble lives. Move up to 150 or 200 if that's not...

Balancing Stereo channels

Is there a way to balance the audio ? Currently on a stereo channel I have more audio coming from the right channel then the left, I'd like to balance that out by putting more audio on the left channel so I get as mentioned a balanced stereo effect.

Re: Recording Audio - Kiss the Mic Problem

What kind of noise? Are you listening to the number 25 MetroBus outside your window and the LG Refrigerator cooling your hot dogs, or is this the background hiss of having turned the sound card up too far?
None of the above, just air noise. How can you remove air noise that was recorded ?

Re: Recording Audio - Kiss the Mic Problem

The sound level problem I fixed by digging into the Audio Card drivers and I found the volume level which had to be turned on and the volume meter turned up. I have everything working so far, at this point by just digging in the control panel and other audio settings. I can hear myself when I record...

Re: Recording Audio - Kiss the Mic Problem

I'm using headphones.
If it is a slow echo (around 1/2 second) you need to switch off "software playthrough" (in Audacity Preferences).
I've turned that option off. Although when I record I still can't head it though the headphones as I'm recording. I can only hear it after it's recorded.

Re: Recording Audio - Kiss the Mic Problem

I got it working. I had to do some digging in the control panel but I found it.
With my Mic I can't hear via the speakers an echo of when I'm talking any ideas why?
