DVD Doug, thanks for your help. I can see and hear audio and see the graphic but when i stop recording and try to export there is no file in the export window. Any ideas? Thanks

thanks. When i hit the stop button to stop recording, i go to file and export but there is nothing there, no file to export. I am seeing and hearing the recording. It is not recording or not creating a file for me

Am using windows 7, audacity 242. Just downloaded this version. Pretty sure i am doing something wrong. Am trying to convert microcassett recording to a wav or mp3. Have device connected, hit record and see and hear recording but when i stop recording and go to see a file i donot see anything there....
