I don't know how to find the Windows speaker/volume icon. The USB cable and port are fine. The cassette plays all right.
What I meant was that within the 2.4.2 program itself, the selections now do not include a USB. Any idea what might have happened and how I can get it back? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. Here are some more details: The recorder is plugged into my laptop via a USB port. This was the case when I successfully converted tapes earlier. I have Windows 10 and am using Audacity 2.4.2. I use the system to convert cassette tapes to MP3. The first day I used the system, it worked smoothly.
