Thanks Steve. Closing a bunch of tasks in the background seems to have helped. The wiki also suggested changing the timeline so that it's zoomed out and not refreshing the page as often. The problem had reared itself, now in 1.3.13. Random breakup that's not repeatable and not exported as .mp3 or .wav formats. Only heard as I check the project pre export. Is this possibly a latency problem.

In 1.2.6 is it possible to keep preferences from session to session. For example, if I move a particular toolbar to a new position on the desktop, will it remain in position for the next session I open?

What exactly are ID3 Tags and are they separate from the filename I give to the exported MP3 or Wav file.? Why am I prompted in each session to edit them?
