what settings should I select in Plot Spectrum for this?

I need to find the frequency range of musical audio signal (mp3 files), and also to get a graph of the frequencies, to determine frequency allocation, to see what frequency range contain the maximum audio information. Windows 7.

nice.. You tried with both Compressor and clipping limiter effects applied, or used one of them?

to apply the Soft Clipping Limiter before Compressor, then compress with settings above?
Another clip (sample2 from the same track) contains solid male vocal part, should I use the same technique for it?

I tried this, Mp3 sounds almost same on nokia 2610, no noticeable difference. However nokia 2610 have small poor buzzer. so there's the necessity to convert FLAC to WAV?(which is also lossless format)

another question: if audio source is in .FLAC format, is is better to convert it to WAV then edit, or edit FLAC file directly? I need to encode audio to mp3 anyway.
