Mastering
After successfully recording 9 novels, today my mastering is failing. I'm using a Blue Yeti and no matter where I set the Gain control, I get the same effect; i.e., the RMS level is off ( for example " less than ACX -23db min) and/or the Noise Floor is off. I've played with the Gain control all morn...

Volume Level
All of a sudden, whenever I record, the RMS is much too high ...... anywhere from -14 to -10 db.... and I can't figure out why. I can easily correct it during editing by going to RMS -20 but I'm at a loss as to why this is suddenly happening. I'm using a blue Yeti and the Gain control seems to be ri...

Re: Peak Value
Doug, I did the audio mastering process just as always but this time the peak failed ... ACX Check says it exceeds -3db and it gets rejected when I try to upload it to ACX. Soooooooo, short of re-recording it, is there anything I can do??? And just what does Peak mean??? Thanx, Tom

Peak Value
I just completed narrating a chapter and when I did my ACX check, everything was OK except for the Peak Value which was a -3db. Is there some way to correct this without re-recording the chapter???

Re: RMS Hiccup???
I'm using a blue yeti ... the problem simply stated is I can barely hear the recorded words or see the track. I'm recording mono track ... and it's for a book. Once I master the recording, everything is OK ... ACX check is ok. It's the 'during the recording' that I'm having trouble with.

RMS Hiccup???
This morning I began recording but the wave length (sound track) is barely discernible, visually or audibly. I checked the RMS level on a portion of the track and it registered -46. When I mastered this small section, it then came out alright (both viisually and audibly) and the wave length is of no...
