Re: Audacity files read as wav clip / bug?
OK perhaps this is something that can be fixed for the most part? At least maybe I can access some of the project? I see ";" in the file path name and I don't think that's supposed to be there 04:58:07: Audacity 2.3.2 04:58:07: Error: Couldn't find symbol 'AudacityModule' in a dynamic library (error...

Re: Audacity files read as wav clip / bug?
Thanks. I will check it out when I get home. Unfortunately I did some reading on other Error Importing messages people have run into and I doubt either of these files is recoverable. I did back up everything in WAV about a month ago, but I had done quite a bit of work since then. I was actually in t...

Re: Audacity files read as wav clip / bug?
I reinstalled Audacity, but the message I am getting for project #1 is: "Error Importing: (filename) is an Audacity project file:" -- I am NOT importing the file, no matter how I try to open it (through recent files, or clicking on the project in the folder) I get this message. Project #2 gives me t...

Re: Audacity files read as wav clip / bug?
I thought the same thing, so I cancelled it, but sure enough it was trying to import a project file!! I’m going to uninstall/reinstall unless anyone has any better ideas EDIT: One thing I just thought of was the file pathname. Where normally I would use dashes and underscores the whole way through (...

Audacity files read as wav clip / bug?
I tried to open a recent AUP file and it gave me the message about importing directly from WAV. This confused me, thinking I clicked the wrong file, so I clicked copy directly -- this gave me a 1 second clip where there should have been a full project file. Yes it did have the correct project name a...

Re: Error: Invalid Token (644) AND corrupted (static) files, export to WAV not available
Yes, thank you... I was able export and save 90% of the project with "selected audio", and that's great. Now off to buy another Seagate. Sigh!

Re: Error: Invalid Token (644) AND corrupted (static) files, export to WAV not available
Yikes, at least I can easily get another drive if I have to. But why wouldn't it work after being re-saved to C-drive? The same exact problem? There are no issues that I'm aware of on this drive. I was able to salvage the non-corrupted tracks as wavs with no problem, so I can move them anywhere if I...

Re: Error: Invalid Token (644) AND corrupted (static) files, export to WAV not available
Errors were found on the external drive, and were apparently fixed successfully. I agree this drive probably can't be trusted anymore, at least with this project. No errors found on C drive (as this wasn't the computer the drive was disconnected from) I did go ahead an re-save the file on C drive, b...

Re: Error: Invalid Token (644) AND corrupted (static) files, export to WAV not available
I did it read it, but I'm no longer getting that error message and when I open in Wordpad++ there aren't any special characters anywhere near the 644 line. (see attachment) The only issue I'm having now is exporting/editing the files with missing data, and I did not find anything on the forum where ...

Re: Error: Invalid Token (644) AND corrupted (static) files, export to WAV not available
One more thing! I'm trying to fix the corrupted files, but I still can't edit or export them. There are patches of silence in left and right channels at different times -- mix stereo to mono does not work, the program crashes. Mix and render, export to wav, export to mp3, all cause the program to cr...
