Re: recording meter reading clipping at -6 not 0
Thanks! This helped me somewhat, although changing the channel to 1 instead of 2 in the window settings for my Focusrite didn't change anything. However, I changed the host to WASPI and now the meter works fine and shows me when I am actually clipping. Is it fine to record my mono track (voice only)...

recording meter reading clipping at -6 not 0
windows 10, audacity version 2.3.3 Hello When recording hot my meter shows clipping at -6 and not 0 and I can't reach beyond -6 (even when my input is turned up to the max). I used a different daw to see if I had the same issue. In Ocenaudio it clips like normal when it reaches 0db. Any way to fix t...

Preventing clipping when mixing audio and music.
Hi.
I use windows 10 and use version 2.3.3
If I have a voice track above and a music track below. Is there anything I have to do to prevent clipping (as now there are two sources of sound)? Or does Audacity adjust that when it's rendered or all mixed down?
Thanks in advance!

PUNCH AND COPY LINKS NOT WORKING
Hi,
When I go to click on the downloads for punch and copy a link opens instead with some kind of code.
How to fix this and download properly?
Thanks in advance!

RX7 AS A PLUG IN
Hey people,
Is it possible to use RX7 as a plug in in Audacity? If so how do I go about doing this?
I want to refrain from copying my file into RX7 and then bringing it back again. If I can access RX7 as a plug in Audacity this would save me an extra step!
Thanks in advance!

Best way to do a clean transition!
Hi! I have 4 tracks in audacity, 2 of them are voiceover and 2 of them are background music playing behind each voiceover track. What is the most seamless way of merging voiceover track and background music #1 with voiceover track and background music # 2?! Trying to make a little demo for myself. T...

Re: TERRIBLE SIBILANCE!!
Ok, thanks.
What kind of scale are you using for the spectrogram?
How did you work out the values to plug in for de-esser? My spectrogram doesn't show values for more than 14000hz even if I change the max in the dialogue box for this.
Cheers

Re: TERRIBLE SIBILANCE!!
Hey,
I reduced the gain on my audio interface as I think my previous signal was way too hot. I have minor sibilance now so I don't know whether to de-ess?
I attached the track
Thanks,
Hannah
