Re: Audacity UI blurry in Windows 10
Thanks for the suggestion! I tried all of the DPI control settings in the application's properties with no improvement. All of my other programs, including Libre Office and TurboCAD look fine.

Audacity UI blurry in Windows 10
Hi Folks, I just installed Audacity on Windows 10. I'm using the most current version of Audacity (2.3) loaded on to a freshly updated Windows 10. Oddly, the user interface for audacity seems blurry. That is, it almost looks a little out of focus, as if the screen resolution of the audacity window d...

Re: Does Toneboosters Track Essentials 3 work with Audacity for Mac?
Thanks! So, If I correctly understand, ToneBoosters plug-ins are for 64-bit DAWs only, but Audacity for Mac is currently 32-bit, so if I wish to use those plug-ins, I either need to use them on my Windows 10 64-bit system with 64-bit Audacity, or be patient and wait for 64-bit Audacity on Mac. Is th...

Does Toneboosters Track Essentials 3 work with Audacity for Mac?
Hi Folks, ToneBoosters has a suite of plug-ins, including a DeEsser, that look very nice and the package is about $20. But, while the maker says you can insall on a Mac and directly use it with any DAW, I thought I'd better check to see if it really installs and works with Audacity. So, has anyone h...

Re: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins [SOLVED]
I got it working, Thanks for the help! I was finally able to remove the "txt" extension by right-clicking on the filename in Finder and removing the "txt" by selecting "Get Info" and changing the filename in the info box.

Thanks! Very true! I'm just a bit rusty on my Unix/BSD/Linux path usage.kozikowski wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 3:40 amThat tiny squiggly line (~) at the front of the address is a big deal. It has special meaning to Macs and Linux.

Re: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins
Are you sure you went to ~/Library/Application Support/audacity and not /Library/Application Support/audacity . There is a difference. If you have no audacity folder in Application Support/ after launching Audacity, you are probably looking in the wrong place. -- Bill Thanks! You are right! I forgo...

Re: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins
Hi Guys, I have it in the correct folder, but there are a couple of more issues: 1) My Mac insists on keeping a "txt" extension to the filename, so it appears as "Noisegate.ny.txt"; 2) Other plug-ins seem to be on the path "/Applications/Audacity.app/Contents/plug-ins", so I'm wondering if the path ...

~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins [SOLVED]
Hi Folks, I downloaded Audacity 2.3.0 for Mac. I really need a noise gate, so I attempted to download and install the Nyquist noise gate. First, the directory ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins was not created during the installation. Second, after manually creating the directory and mo...
