Graillon won't plug in
Went to Audacity plug-ins. Looked up new ones. Enabled it. Got the message: Effect or Command at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Auburn Sounds Graillon 2.vst failed to register: How hard can this be? Does anyone know what's going on?

Ok...I have downloaded Graillon 2. Looked for new plugins in Audacity. Found it, enabled it. Now I'm looking for it. Don't see it in the plugins list. How do I open it up?

editing notes, up or down, on vocals
I'm trying to change the frequency, the actual note, on vocal recordings. E.g. if I mean to sing a C, but instead I hit slightly higher than a C, I need to bring that note down to a perfect C. Does the Effect Change Pitch do that? Also, I see a tutorial that says GSNAP will do that. I don't find GSN...

Re: correcting vocal sharps & flats
Vox is on a separate track. I want to correct only the one track. Looking right now at Melodyne. Is it usable with Audacity? Is there a plug-in that does this? TnT

correcting vocal sharps & flats
I am trying to finish up a vocal recording, singing to my own accompaniment, composed on Sibelius. Sounds great except for minute flaws in my singing. I'd like to do some vocal airbrushing in places, rounding out spots where I go slightly sharp and flat. Is there a plug-in for this? Or do I have to ...

Re: new mixer & Cubase
What kind of "FX"? Reverb? Yes. Moderate reverb for performance--singing in small churches and halls where the acoustics are flat. I record dry, then add Audacity's FX. "Most mixers will have some limited EQ (bass & treble or 3-band) on every channel." I like the more selective, slider EQ, than the ...

new mixer & Cubase
I have been frustrated with my Behringer XENYX X1832USB mixer for nearly two years. Finally sold it yesterday. The FX are too complicated. I've been having trouble getting Audacity to run perfectly and consistently. Sunday I was performing, and couldn't get the FX to turn off. The FX knob over the m...

Re: Any way to export losslessly?
ALSO.... I just went to iTunes Preferences>Sound Enhancer. It was checked. I unchecked it, and the hollow sound disappeared! It sounds much better! Who would think that Sound Enhancer would make it sound worse?? TnT

Re: Any way to export losslessly?
Ok...process of elimination here....the quality is definitely better, playing the exports over Quicktime than it is on iTunes. The transistor radio effect seems to be caused by iTunes! So...that means I can burn these onto a music CD, and they should not necessarily be the poorer quality that I hear...
