Make sure ‘full keyboard access’ is on. Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts and select the ‘All controls’ radio button. Or press Ctrl+F7 to toggle that setting.
AWESOME!!!!

Cannot believe I didn't know to do that?!

Thanks!!! :D

@kozikowski,

So what do you do for a living?

How did you become an Audacity "elf"?

Re: Clear all Tracks

Is there a way when the "Saves changes to project" pop-up appears, to toggle to the "No" button? On Windows and Linux you can tab through to the "No" button and press "Enter". Mac uses the space key instead of the Enter key, so tab through to the "No" button and press "Space". Note that it is "norm...

Learning production in Audacity

I would like to learn how to use Audacity to edit/mix/etc podcasts that I want to record. I have used Audacity for years to record radio shows online, but have never used it for what most people probably do which is creating produced output. I decided to join this website to learn more, and I see th...

Cannot tab between Command Buttons

In Sierra, if I want to close a project, I choose Cmd+W

A pop-up appears asking: "Save changes to..."

The "Yes" button is selected by default,a nd I want the ability to press Tab and cycle through to "No" so hands don't have to leave my keyboard!

Why not close the project? laziness I guess.
Try "Command + W".
Is there a way when the "Saves changes to project" pop-up appears, to toggle to the "No" button?

(I am used to being able to use the Tab key in many other apps?)

Thanks

Re: Timer stutters

Sierra or High Sierra? Sierra. The track timer - which ticks away as you record music That's fuzzy. Are you recording against the Metronome or Click Track? Or it is just metaphorically ticking away? I think that's normal. My time line cursor always jerks a bit during recording. Is it audible? Oops!...

Re: Clear all Tracks

This came up recently. I know I can Command-A select all and then DEL, but that leaves the blank tracks behind. Exactly! Do you have an actual reason not to close the Project? Koz, I have been using Audacity for about a decade to record music, and am finally trying to learn to use it to serious edi...
