This may be in the manual somewhere, but is it possible to use Audacity to transfer record albums, separate individual tracks and burn CD's? I used to use Toast for this, but it's been years.

I want to edit the AAC audio from an mp4 video created with iMovie. When I try to open it with Audacity I get a notice that says I need to have the FFmpeg library. What the heck is that and how do I get it?

When I search this in the manual, it seems to refer to making two tracks out of one. What I want to do is cut out a section of a track and remove it while the following section remains in place, i.e., not closing in to fill the void. Kind of like one does with splitting a clip in iMovie. Mac OS 10.1...

Never mind, I finally figured it out!

I have two separate stereo sources, i.e. four tracks. I want to select the bottom two tracks and move them to the right and do a cross fade.But when I use that horizontal double-arrow tool (whatever it's called), all I seem to be able to do is move ALL the tracks. I'm sure what I want to do is cover...

I have a stereo recording in which I'd like to vary the levels of one track only. Is there a way to do this? I only seem to be able to select both tracks. It's probably in the manual, though I haven't come across it.

The recording I imported is unbalanced, and I wish to increase the level on track 1 to match track 2. I don't see if there's a way to select only 1 of the 2 tracks to edit. Is this possible?
