When use Effect -> Amplify, does it impact sound quality?
Hi, I recently received an accompaniment that has lots of clippings (red lines). Please see screenshot below. clippings.JPG Almost all of these clippings can be removed if I use "Effect -> Amplify (Amplification -2.0 dB)". Can someone please let me know if "Effect -> Amplify with negative dB" can po...

Re: How can we use "Change Pitch" to adjust pitch a little bit?
The Hollywood solution is record it again, or record it multiple times and select the good notes with careful editing. So it is possible to pull any performance out, but it's up to the Producer to decide whether it's worth it. I totally agree. re-record is probably the best. I guess this pitch issu...

Re: How can we use "Change Pitch" to adjust pitch a little bit?
Thanks for the additional information. What I'm trying to do is to mix a sax solo with an accompaniment. The pitch of sax solo sounds a bit higher. If I use speed change to adjust sax pitch, the modified sax track won't match accompaniment's beat. I guess I have to use pitch change to correct pitch ...

Re: How can we use "Change Pitch" to adjust pitch a little bit?
Thank you for the information. It helps a lot. It turns out the pitch needs to be changed more than "a little bit" :( I actually make-1.6% adjustment before it sounds right. I noticed some sections in the modified track change its original sound patterns a bit (not too bad but a bit different). That...

How can we use "Change Pitch" to adjust pitch a little bit?
Hi,
The pitch of a track seems a bit higher. Can someone please let me know how to use "Change Pitch" to lower the pitch just a little bit? The parameters on Change Pitch window are not very obvious.
By the way, I'm using Windows version 2.3.3.
Thanks & regards,
Lee

Re: Why does "Graphic EQ" remove previous Envelope edit?
Thank you for the information. The workaround (i.e. "apply" the envelope using "Tracks > Mix > Mix and Render" before applying EQ) works. It lets EQ be applied without removing existing Envelope. However I notice another issue after using the above mentioned workaround. Please see screenshots and qu...

Re: Why does "Graphic EQ" remove previous Envelope edit?
Thank you for your confirmation and information. I prefer keeping Envelope editable if possible as we may need to re-edit it again later. Is there any plan to fix it in next release?
Thanks & regards,
Lee

Why does "Graphic EQ" remove previous Envelope edit?
Hi, I'm using Windows version 2.3.3. Here is what I did: (1) use Envelope tool to edit a section of a track, and get this: 2.JPG (2) then use "Graphic EQ" to apply -9.9dB at 10KHz (or whatever) to the same section of the track. After apply Graphic EQ edit, the previous Envelope edit gets removed: 1....
