Re: Sample Rate Selection - Focusrite Scareltt 2i2
> It won't hurt < I assume you mean that it won't cause a problem if I do not remove the Focusrite ASIO driver. Is that correct? There may be other applications, such as ProTools that use it, though at this time I do not have any other suitable application for recording live music at festivals. Denn...

Re: Sample Rate Selection - Focusrite Scareltt 2i2
Should the Focusrite ASIO driver be uninstalled if Audacity is the preferred tool for recording with the Scarlett 2i2, or does it matter?

Sample Rate Selection - Focusrite Scareltt 2i2
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit / Audacity 2.2.2 The current (up-to-date) ASIO driver for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface offers a wide selection of sample rates from 44.1 to 192. There is a Focusrite "control panel" for setting the desired sample rate for recording. Audacity also has a choice ...

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
Yes, thank you!! Pressing Ctrl+M seems to do just what we need. Having said that, I believe I saw something in the documentation about a setting that would eliminate the need to press Ctrl+M at the beginning of the recording. That is, if Ctrl+M was only pressed "between" the songs in the set, the E...

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
I hate to say this, but I feel I must. I'm not getting answers that help us. We desperately want to record a live music set seamlessly using Audacity 2.2.2 on a PC running Windows 7 or 10 while at the same time being able to split the seamless recording into individual files on the fly with a simple...

Best Choice of "Audio Host"
Is there a preferred "Audio Host" mode when recording stereo audio using a USB-connected Focusrite or Behringer analog-to-digital converter? For this question, assume that the appropriate driver is installed for each converter and that it is selected as the Recording Device. Dennis, aka "dbrunnen" P...

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
What do you mean by "at the playhead?" I assume by this expression that you mean "adding a label on-the-fly while playing a previously recorded track."
Is that right?

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
This is what I understand based on your help. Please let me know if this is not correct. Given that we are using an analog-to-digital USB interface with a laptop for recording and burning CDs for the band, it appears that pressing "Ctrl + B" on the fly while recording satisfies our need to add marke...

Re: Recording Live Concerts and Festivals - Need Help!
It's not at all crazy to want to give the band a CD right after their set—one that they can easily review while they're on the bus heading to their next gig. While their recent performances are fresh in their minds, they can easily go back and forth over any particular song in the set and critique t...
