Yesterday, Audacity worked perfectly but tonight when I sat down to record it just gives me a solid line. I've checked all the inputs, etc. and they're correct. I can't figure out what happened. Can anyone help?

Wow, thank you! I would love to eventually do voiceovers on documentaries. I used to do some acting but it was quite a while ago. I'm trying to resurrect that part of me, lol. I'm surprised that my voice is lower now than I expected it to be.

Hmmm, yes they seem to. My voice always sounds different to me when it is recorded.

So far my files are all passing the check after running the mastering suite.

I did see an H4 recorder on Ebay for about $100 so that might work. In the meantime, I'll submit a test to ACX.
