You know, I'd explore using Linux, but I have ENOUGH problems gaming on a Windows system... ;) I'll seriously consider "downgrading" to XP... I've checked "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Unplugged Devices" as instructed in the tutorial, but there simply is no Mixer listed no matter what I do. So, they literally built the driver such that it cannot be accessed as a recording device? Really? That's infuriating... :evil: Vista really is a ...

I'm in the same boat - I have no "Stereo Mix" entry on the "Recording" tab either, just the two Mic entries. On my Dell laptop, one Mic input seems to be for the built-in microphone on the laptop lid, and the other (labeled Mic/Line in") seems to control the microphone jack on the side of the case. ...
