Re: Boosting "dead" frequencies?

Trying to achieve deep bass that sounds good on both my speaker and headphones through audacity. Through my headphones, it sounds nice and deep, but listening through my speaker, the frequencies above its frequency response (65 hZ to 20,000 hZ) are quiet in the original song and I can't boost them s...

Boosting "dead" frequencies?

Found a good method of bass boosting songs. However, with some songs, the original song has more of the sub-bass frequencies, and the other bass frequencies are inaudible to my speaker (response of 65 hZ to 20 kHz), but not my headphones. An example of this is shown here. The time sample of the orig...

Re: Keeping bass while also maintaining volume?

Thanks for your replies. I just like a lot of bass in songs. My goal is to get nice bass that vibrates my headphones and maintains sound clarity, as in the rest of the song doesn't get drowned out. I have regular bluetooth headphones (Sony) and then I use my Logitech headset for testing the music. I...

Re: Keeping bass while also maintaining volume?

So does this mean no matter what a bass boosted song will sound quieter than the original song? Does "reducing the volume of everything" refer to using normalize?

Re: Keeping bass while also maintaining volume?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not trying to make songs louder, I just want to boost bass while maintaining the song's volume (as in not have bass that drowns out the rest of the song) and the ability to still feel bass, using audacity. How do I lower digital volume? Just use normalize? If so, with what ...

Keeping bass while also maintaining volume?

I am running audacity 2.2 on Windows 10. Hi, I made a post months ago about bass boosting. I found some other methods by myself, but for some reason it still doesn't meet my needs. My issue is, that if I sacrifice the loudness of the song, by making there be more bass than treble, I get that nice ba...

Re: Bass Boosting help.

Bump. (I don't know if I'm breaking the rules because it's been a month, I apologize) How can I create bass that vibrates my headphones, while sustaining the original volume of the song? The method I used involved boosting the bass by a high amount of decibels to create that vibrating bass feeling, ...

Re: Bass Boosting help.

Bump.

I realized that from using Audacity's "Bass and Treble" alone, it reduces the volume when bass comes in. What should I do to fix this? Thanks. I am only changing the bass; level is 0, treble is also 0

Re: Bass Boosting help.

The quick way to boost bass using G-multi ... 1. Create an in-sync duplicate of your track by pressing "Ctrl"+"D". 2. Apply the G-multi setting shown below only to the duplicate track, it will then only contain exaggerated bass. 3. Create a mix to taste of the original track and the bassy duplicate...
