Re: tracking playback lag

Alternatively, more recent versions of Audacity may be available through PPAs. I did exactly this and something went better; now i'm able to test latency, but delay is 160 ms and, when I set -160 ms and test if now latency is near to zero, Audacity states: "Latency Correction setting has caused the...

Re: tracking playback lag

Latency correction works perfectly under Windows (I follow the procedure connecting my USB interface Behringer UCA202 and found the exact latency). But under Linux ( Audacity version 2.1.2 under Ubuntu 17.10) I don't find some settings in the Edit->Preferences menu. E.g. "Always record on a new trac...

Re: About pitch less than a half tone

Thanks Trebor, but as soon as pressed "Submit" to send my message, I found the solution. Sure, I already enabled the plug in, but it appears in "Analyze" menu and not in "Effect".

Yes, sure, but I'm looking for a method to precisely find the real tune... Is there a method or the only way is to proceed for trials?

About pitch less than a half tone

Hi folks, I'm using Audacity 2.1.2 both on Ubuntu Linux (17.04) and Windows 10. Often I change tune of a music downloaded to make it easy for my student (I teach blues harp in a Music school). Recently I need to tune a song less than an half tone, because I found the original song is in the right ke...
