Re: Recording breakup
Dear Super Gale: One more thing: Here's why I wrote my last post: I think this one is probably right because the 3.5mm male probably needs to be a TRRS plug. I'm not sure because on this end of the wire all I'm really doing is capturing the stereo audio from the portable player. The other end of the...

Re: Recording breakup
After some further thought, I thought about the need to have a 3.5mm TRRS male plug attached to a wire to RCA male plugs to connect to the UCA202. So, I went on Amazon again and found this wire: Parts Express 3.5mm Plug (4 Pole) To 3 RCA A/V Cable 6 feet I think this is the wire I need. Am I correct...

Re: Recording breakup
Gale: Question: How am I supposed to use the UCA202? It has (by picture of device) two input ports and one USB jack on the end of its output wire. My portable Radio / Cassette Tape / CD player only has one output headphones socket, so I can listen to business or music cassette tapes or a CD or even ...

Re: Recording breakup
Since purchasing a wire 3.5mm to 2.0 USB didn't work with my laptop computer, because it didn't pick up the audio from my portable, but it did still pick up my voice even with the microphones "off" in my laptop [Settings > Privacy > Microphone "Off"], I am now considering this external device: Porta...

Gale: Thank you for your continued attention to this matter. I just got off a call to Hp Smart Friend regarding this thread. I am hoping that once they review these posts, they will clearly understand the problem. Perhaps they will understand what you've written about better than I am able. And they...

Re: Recording breakup
I cannot guarantee to have read your very long posts thoroughly. Why not? I've taken an abundant amount of time to be specific and relate to you as accurately and detailed as I possibly am able to do so. It is disappointing to me to learn that you did not read and comprehend my entire post. That's ...

Re: Recording breakup
Well, I was just going to add a comment on the YouTube video that told me about Audacity. And, since I do not want to post a public comment, I decided against posting a comment and referencing this thread in Audacity. I just don't want to risk saying anything publicly that would not be the right thi...
