Re: recording multiple tracks
Is it solved already?: I think so, most of the problems i had i think can be attributed to the sound card. I purchased the behringer UCA 202 as a cheap replacement and so far i have not had any major latency or "anti latency" problems but i havent had a lot of time to play with audacity lately (Hav...

Re: I am going crazy trying to record
Do you have "software playthrough" turned off in the preferences (should be in the same area as play other tracks while recording new one)? I think if this is turned on then when you record a new track it doubles up and sounds all crazy which may be your problem. Im not 100% on this so hopefully som...

Re: Recording a cassette
Any suggestions I just used a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable and went from the headphone output on the tape player to the line in on my computer. Selected line in on the drop down menu in audacity and pressed play on the tape player and record on audacity. Simple as that and worked perfectly have read...

Re: Recording Volume extremely low
Not sure why it would be so quiet, there are a few possibilities but i am no expert. However i have used the headphone jack (3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable)from tape players before and had no problem. Have you increased the recording volume slider in windows for the 'line in' input, and Have you select...

Re: loud distortion
Mic placement depends on what you want really, The sound will change depending on where the mic is. e.g if you place the mic in a far corner of the room then you are more likely to get a "roomy" sound with a natural reverb of sorts (depending if you got carpet or floorboards or very reflective walls...

Re: mp3s with muted tracks
you can just save one copy of the song with all the tracks in it, then delete the tracks you dont want (vocals) then "save as" a different file name, ie song no vox, then export this to mp3. This way you will have 2 songs saved essentially the same but one without vocals. You would then have 2 files...

Re: Does anyone use the behringer uca202 sound card?
Thanks Steve, I presume you are using Windows? XP? Yes this is correct, I'm not sure how you have the UCA202, your mds4, and your speakers connected (what inputs to what outputs) - could you clarify this Ok, i have further had a play around and there are 3 ways i can output from my 4track to the UCA...
