Re: Same volume across files

I am attaching one audio clip with samples from two different files. Is there a way to adjust the first 5 seconds to sound more like the second 10 seconds? The client says the first 5 seconds sounds louder. I did the audiobook mastering steps to both files as outlined previously in this thread. Than...

Re: Same volume across files

Actually, I messed up a step. The Audiobook Mastering worked out for my files. Thank you all for the tutorials.

Re: Same volume across files

Koz, thank you for the tutorials. I will try test them out. Back to getting consistent volume levels across files, if I have already processed the files, is there a way to check and get all the files on the same volume levels? I have been doing it visually for now. If I do the audiobook mastering st...

Re: Same volume across files

My floor noise is pretty clean. There's no blips on the db monitor. I usually change the treble bass cause my mics sound kind of trill and sharp. So I try to soften the treble. Thanks for the effects order.

Re: Same volume across files

Thanks Koz. What order would you put Noise Reduction and Bass Treble?

Same volume across files

Hello, I have a project with chapters. I normalize each file to -5db. They're all pretty much normal speaking voice, so no loud signals. A current client says that one file is quieter than the others. How do I make sure all files are the same volume level? Thanks.

Background noise ok?

Retail unit below turned on heater and there is low hum/buzz that gets picked up. I lowered the mic gain and did some light editing. Is the result acceptable? Thanks.

Snapping sound

Hello, my recording has a snapping sound in the silence between voice sound. I hear it with my headphones. How to fix? I am attaching a raw audio mp3 (no edits, mp3 because almost all files I submit require mp3). Thanks!

Re: How to fix pop sound

Great, that helped! Highlighting the center of the column was the trick.

Re: How to fix pop sound

Steve, thanks for the step-by-step. In Spectogram view, I highlight the red column to "repair" and get "Repair effect for short samples...select tiny fraction..." message. I've selected a bunch of widths and the vertical line/pop sound is not going away, getting same message. Am I doing something wr...
