Re: cut and paste
Well, I've discussed this with the other support personnel here and none of us has a clue what is happening. None of us can reproduce the problem. All I can suggest at this point is: 1) download and install the latest version of Audacity, available at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ 2) i...

Re: intermittent record
The default is 100. As the FAQ says: Open Recording Preferences and adjust the "Buffer Length" setting. Reduce the setting to 0 milliseconds. If recording breaks up or does not start, increase "Buffer Length" in increments of 10 milliseconds until recording is smooth So, yes, it is trial and error....

Re: intermittent record
Did you try adjusting the "Buffer Length" as suggested in the FAQ? -- Bill Im afraid to. Does the defaults stay in place if I were to change the buffer and it doesn't do what I would prefer. If I have this right, that if I adjust the buffer can I adjust it while Audacity is transferring? ...or, do ...

Re: intermittent record

Re: cut and paste
I never counted them. The examples I gave are a cross section of what I would enter. Songs and album titles are the best estimate I can give you and are what I primarily copy and paste.billw58 wrote:How many characters are you attempting to paste into a label?

Re: cut and paste
You managed to post the complete crash report. I edited it to remove the stuff we don't need. Unfortunately, this is a different crash. The first one you posted seemed to be pointing to a window event, which could be a result of the attempted paste into a label. The latest one is a crash in the Aud...

We should have asked earlier: What version of Audacity are you running? Also: How are you connecting your turntable to the Mac Pro? Line In? USB? For the moment it appears all the elves are stumped. -- Bill I'm running Audacity 2.2.0>Mac Pro-OS X 10.13.1>Connecting turntable via USB. Please note th...

Re: cut and paste
Thanks. but we need the complete listing for thread 0. We're getting close to seeing where the error occurs. Exactly what text are you copying from discogs? Are you un-knowingly copying HTML tags or graphics? Are you copying text with accented characters? If so, how are those accented characters re...
