Re: Noise Sample for Reduction
Yes, I did that too, it really worked. I'm also wondering if Equalizer could help... After Noise Reduction, by trying to reduce the frequencies where some noise still remains. But it is really hard to find out what are these frequencies, even using the Plot Spectrum tool (it is much easier on a Nois...

Re: Noise Sample for Reduction
Thanks Yes it is hard long work since the recording has a weak level... Doing my best. Trying so many different settings... I noticed that removing some frequencies with Notch Filter before doing Noise Reduction does help a lot. Then Noise Reduction doesn't need to be so strong and the sound is less...

Noise Sample for Reduction
Hello I've read that a longer Noise Sample will give better result for Noise Reduction. - Is it ok to make a track for the Noise Sample in which I would copy several noise samples taken from different places in my sound? - If yes, shall I merge them, or can I keep the splits (so I remember where the...

Re: Noise Reduction / Stereo to Mono / Volume
Yes, that's what I understood... But since I needed to Amplifie before working on the Noise Reduction (to hear good...), I made the choice to apply a Limiter before. It is the default Limiter of Audacity, set up to Hard, and the db level I choosed is only affecting a very few peaks. Then I could Amp...

Re: Noise Reduction / Stereo to Mono / Volume
Thanks! After many tries and long researches on audacity manuel & wiki, that's basically what I'm doing now! To be more precise, this is what I am doing in order: - Stereo to Mono - Limit (to get rid of some irrelevant peaks, otherwise I cannot Amplifie) - Amplify - Notch Filters & Low Cut (I've not...

Noise Reduction / Stereo to Mono / Volume
Hello! I am working on a conference recording in order to make a radio broadcast. The sound was recorded with a Zoom H1 (internal microphone). The original recording is in stereo. The sound is very low, so there is too much souffle. I must proceed a Noise Reduction. A few questions: - I am wondering...
