Setting bit rate to 546 ensures lossless wma?
Hi. Using 1.3.8. Downloaded and installed the FFmpeg plug-in. Would like to create lossless wma's; is it sufficient to set the bit rate (the only audio property which appears settable) to 546 (max offered)? If not, is there a way to do this, i.e., export to an assured lossless wma? If not, is this w...

Re: Way to predict bass boost which won't clip
'Fraid not. Try applying the Amplify effect to the entire track with "Amplification (dB)" of -10. Then apply the BassBoost to your liking. Finally call up the Amplify effect again and accept the default settings (which will normalize the track to 0 dB). Will do, thanks for the tip. If you use a rec...

Way to predict bass boost which won't clip
Hi! I'm trying to use bass boost. The (brief) passage about it in the manual says "...if you don't try to boost too much; 12 dB is usually just right." but as little as 5 dB is clipping some of my passages; is there a way to predict (calculate) the bass boost dB parameter that will result in a "norm...

Re: Recording Multiple Tracks Simultaneously
Right, this was pointed out to me by my local retailer; I ended up getting something much fancier; more after I've evaluated it.

Re: Recording Multiple Tracks Simultaneously
OK, but you say earlier that that "one device" can be (typically would be) stereo, so I could at least hook up a dual mic set up through a UCA-202, and get a live two track recording into Audacity, yes?

Re: Recording Multiple Tracks Simultaneously
OK, having looked up the UCA-202, I see the relevance of having to warn people off hubs. But if I were to dedicate each of my three USB's (i.e., no hubs) to one of these Behringers, am I correct to understand that it might be feasible to use Audacity to record up to six live tracks simultaneously (a...

Re: Recording Multiple Tracks Simultaneously
Sorry, one more: how many channels, coming and going, can you safely transmit over a USB connection? Thanks again!
