Sorry to resurrect this ancient thread, but the main problem that I have with Save to Compressed Copy is that once you open the compressed file and it springs back to full size*, there's no way to put it back in its box. Whenever I generate a tone in v1.3.7, Audacity always zooms out to fit the entire project. Also, it doesn't seem to remember my last used settings very well.
