Re: Can the effects menu be altered
Thanks for the replies. I'd never thought of any of these things. I still see effects chains in my head as the old daisy chains I used to do with guitar effects pedals. That said, the effects chain might be the ticket. I appreciate the responses. Addendum: The effects chain did, in fact, work like a...

Can the effects menu be altered
I'm a longtime Audacity user who has posted before. I'm on Windows 7, downloaded the Zip version, and have stayed using version 2.1.0 for various reasons. Is there a way to rearrange (or customize) effects list in the drop-down menu? I ask because I tend to use the Nyquist Limiter and the Amply effe...

Re: Equalizer in 2.1.1 No Longer Automatically Remembers Set
With the new download, though, there is a problem with the Draw Curves/Graphic EQ settings. I couldn't get Draw Curves to work and couldn't get the other EQ setting to hold as the default. The bigger layout did look nice, though. I'll wait till the next release for the fix. I went back to the old o...

Re: Remove a specific sound
Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to remove a very specific sound from a recording. The recording is of a skype call, and the application is used to record it captures all audio on that plays on the computer. I accidentally played some other sounds while the call was recording, so there are s...

Equalizer in 2.1.1 No Longer Automatically Remembers Setting
I've been an Audacity user since around 2009. I run it on Windows 7, 64 bit, with 8 gigs of memory. When I upgraded to version 2.1.1 I noticed a quirk in the equalizer -- it no longer automatically remembers your last configuration. Let me explain. Previously in Audacity, if you designed an EQ curve...

Re: Click noise when cutting audio
Tapeheads advice, I think, is the best solution. Placing different parts of files on separate tracks, then editing them together via the use of fade-ins and fade-out has worked. It can be consuming, but it can also work wonders. That said, if you go this route, I'd advise you to be sure to save your...
