Re: Improve "over edited" file
Sorry I haven't been on the Forum for ages. Thanks for your last comments kozikowski & waxcylinder ;) Above all, thanks for all those comments which really helped when I started this show two years ago. Still some way to go quality wise but I keep trying to improve, keep investing in better equipmen...

Re: Invalid character number + Open' command to open...
Ok I solved myself. Sorry for the panic from a total noob. So in the end, what was needed after applying the "Why do I get "Error: not well formed (invalid token) at line x"?" method was to put the setting "ANSI" when doing Save As in Notepad. By default it was on a different setting and that's appa...

Re: Invalid character number + Open' command to open...
Little detail. I found the source (not how to fix)of the original problem. Turns out one of the audio file I inserted in that .aup had a sort of emoji in it's name. I didn't notice it before inserting (which worked till I had to re-open the file) and I had never that. This emoji is likely responsibl...

Invalid character number + Open' command to open...
Today when I opened the .aup file of my latest episode I get the following: Error: reference to invalid character number at line 57. After a Google search I tried opening the file with Notepad to edit as recommended in the following FAQ "Why do I get "Error: not well formed (invalid token) at line x...

Re: Improve "over edited" file
We recently moved so the place is rather sober (few furnitures, not light fixtures, no frames on the walls etc.). The second bedroom's floor is carpet so it should help a bit. Also we will be in a couch instead of around a table (guest knocking the table has been repeatingly an issue). In the meanti...

Re: Improve "over edited" file
Thanks Koz that's very encouraging. No I didn't know that joke about French. :) Oddly enough I think French speakers mind the accent and various mispronunciation much more. My favourite one is when Kundin explains his character died surrounded by goals (ghouls). Anyway, echo/reverb is indeed an issu...

Re: Improve "over edited" file
The Episode 2 mentionned above is now OUT! Thanks for your advice. Please feel free to comment both on the audio quality and content (although the later is still very messy). https://rolistespod.wordpress.com/2015/09/25/episode-02-mess-up-arrow-luchadores-asian-restaurants/ I also now have an RSS fe...

Re: Improve "over edited" file
I did the following: Inserted blank snippets here and there as breathing space (not great but better) I slowed a couple sections (change speed + change pitch with opposite value) - In addition to the excessive editing, we did indeed actually spoke at a rather excited and excessive speed. Still need ...
