MacOS Sierra rejects installation of Audacity 2.1.2

A message pops up that this is not Apple supported.

Old version 2.1.1 runs with Sierra

UCA202 has limitations yap, but I am a happy camper because I can regulate the headphones (old LUXMAN K-105 tapedeck does not have the option and I do not own any amp)

Its a bit confusing, I have audacity 2.1.1. now on my mac and on a windows laptop.
The problem was when I was on the mac. I reinstalled and now it works.
